Dubrovnik Cable Car & Old Town Walk

Discover the timeless beauty of Dubrovnik’s Old Town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site renowned for its stunning churches, monasteries, palaces, and fountains.

Begin your experience with a scenic walk from the tender pier to the lower cable car station, where you’ll board a restored gondola for a panoramic ride to the summit of Srdj Hill. During the 1991 civil war, this cable car served as a vital evacuation route for over 2.5 million people. Today, it offers peaceful views of Dubrovnik’s Gothic, Renaissance, and Baroque architecture, nestled below in postcard-perfect splendor.

After descending via cable car, arrive at Ploče Gate, the eastern entrance to the Old Town near the Old Harbor, where your guided walking tour begins.

Stroll along the Stradun, Dubrovnik’s elegant main thoroughfare, and admire landmarks such as the Dominican Church, the 15th-century Rector’s Palace — once the seat of government for the independent Republic of Dubrovnik — and the Cathedral, rebuilt after the devastating earthquake of 1667.

Continue past the Sponza Palace, known for its columned courtyard, the Church of Saint Blaise, and Onofriou’s Fountain, located near the city drawbridge.

Your visit includes entry to the Rupe Granary Museum, which preserves the cultural heritage of the region. A knowledgeable archaeologist will share insights into the Republic’s history from the 16th to the 19th centuries.

Conclude your tour with free time in the Old Town, allowing you to shop, explore, or simply soak in the atmosphere at your own pace.
