Discover the essence of Santorini with a visit to the iconic village of Oia, followed by a hands-on Greek cooking experience at a renowned local taverna.
Begin your journey with a scenic ascent along the colorful caldera wall, passing traditional villages and volcanic landscapes. Your guide will highlight the island’s geological history as you travel north toward Oia.
In Oia, stroll through cobblestone streets lined with whitewashed buildings, blue-domed churches, and cliffside mansions. Enjoy panoramic views of the caldera and neighboring Cycladic isles, and take time to browse local shops and galleries.
Continue to the Akrotiri area, where you’ll be welcomed at Aeolos Taverna with a chilled glass of wine or ouzo, and a tasting of Santorinian specialties. Then, enjoy a cooking demonstration by master chefs showcasing local ingredients and traditional techniques. Afterward, savor a sumptuous lunch featuring the chef’s creations.
Your tour concludes in Thira town, where guests may choose to stay for independent exploration or shopping. To return to the ship, take the cable car down to the Old Port and board your tender boat. Cable car ticket is included in the tour price.
