Angkor Wat Overland Adventure (Ho Chi Minh City to Sihanoukville)
Angkor Wat, one of the most iconic and awe-inspiring temples in the world, is a breathtaking UNESCO World Heritage site located in Siem Reap, Cambodia. Originally built in the 12th century as a Hindu temple, it later transformed into a Buddhist temple. Known for its stunning architecture, intricate carvings, and vast scale, Angkor Wat is a symbol of Cambodia’s rich cultural heritage and is considered the largest religious monument ever constructed. A visit to this magnificent temple offers a truly unforgettable journey through history and spirituality.
Unlike the large group excursions typically arranged by cruise lines, this program is exclusively designed as a private tour — tailored to your group size, ensuring seamless logistics, personalized attention, and a refined experience that elevates your journey beyond the ordinary.
Day 1: Arrival & Sunset Cruise Experience (A light lunch & Dinner included)
We take care of your Cambodia and Vietnam visas to ensure a smooth arrival. To process your visa, we will need a clear copy of your passport in advance. Please bring with you one passport-size photo during the trip and share it with our local tour operator. Your passport must have two blank pages for visa stamps and must be valid for at least six months beyond the completion of the cruise.
Our team will handle all the paperwork, so you can focus on enjoying your trip! Before meeting your guide at the pier, please collect your passport from Guest Services on board. Your guide will be waiting at the cruise port, holding a personalized sign displaying your name along with our company logo for easy recognition. The exact meeting time will be confirmed according to your flight schedule.
Upon disembarkation, you will be provided with a private transfer from the ship to the airport for your onward journey to Siem Reap. Please be advised that flights are not included in this overland program and must be booked and paid directly by guests. To ensure seamless coordination of your transfer, we kindly request that you share your confirmed flight details with us in advance.
To save time at Vietnam’s busy airports, we provide Fast Track service, so you can avoid long queues. However, occasional delays may still occur due to customs or unforeseen airport situations, and we kindly ask for your patience and understanding.
Upon arrival in Siem Reap, you will be warmly welcomed by our local representative, who will assist with your luggage and guide you to the airport exit. Your private tour guide will be waiting there, holding a personalized sign with your name and our company logo for easy recognition.
You will then transfer to your chosen accommodation package for check-in, a late light lunch, and a short rest:
- 4-Star Hotel – Tara Angkor Hotel (or a similar 4-star property)
- 5-Star Hotel – Sokha Angkor Resort
Your choice of accommodation determines the package you book, ensuring flexibility to match your preferences.
In the afternoon, your guide will meet you in the hotel lobby, and you will set off for a luxurious sunset boat tour along the Angkor Thom moat. As you glide through the ancient waterways, surrounded by temple ruins and lush jungle, you can relax in a peaceful setting. To enhance the experience, savor a selection of delicious canapés paired with a glass of champagne, making this a truly unforgettable moment.
As evening falls, you will indulge in an authentic Khmer dinner at a renowned local restaurant before returning to your hotel for a restful night, preparing for an exciting exploration of Angkor Wat the following day.
Day 2: Sunrise at Angkor Wat & Temple Exploration & Evening Apsara Dance Show
(Breakfast Box, Lunch & Dinner Included)

As the first light of day casts a golden glow over the ancient stone carvings, take in the serene and mystical atmosphere, a moment that will stay with you forever. (A breakfast box will be provided during the tour.)

Admire the impressive stone-carved faces and towering gate, flanked by rows of statues depicting gods and demons locked in a mythical tug-of-war. Next, explore the iconic Bayon Temple, known for its mesmerizing stone-carved faces and intricate bas-reliefs depicting historical battles, daily life, and legendary tales of the Khmer Empire.
Later, embark on an adventure to the enchanting Ta Prohm Temple, a site made famous by its overgrown tree roots and mysterious ruins. Unlike any other temple in Angkor, Ta Prohm offers a unique, almost cinematic experience, where nature and history intertwine beautifully. It is also the location of many scenes filmed for the blockbuster movie Tomb Raider.
After this captivating exploration, enjoy a delicious lunch at a local restaurant. Following lunch, you will visit the Banteay Srei Temple, famously known as the “Jewel of Khmer Art.” This beautifully preserved pink sandstone temple is celebrated for its intricate and delicate carvings, making it a must-visit gem of the Angkor region. After your visit, return to your hotel to freshen up.
In the evening, enjoy a traditional Apsara Dance Show at a beautiful venue. Savor a delicious dinner while watching this mesmerizing Cambodian cultural performance, offering a memorable finale to a day of exploration and marvel.
