Pre-Cruise: Angkor Wat Overland Journey & Bangkok Experience (Bangkok to Siem Reap)
Embark on a once-in-a-lifetime journey through the heart of Southeast Asia, where ancient wonders and vibrant city life come together in one seamless experience. This exclusive, luxury pre-cruise package is designed for those seeking an unforgettable blend of personalized service, cultural immersion, and world-class experiences.
Day 1: Arrival in Bangkok
Your journey begins the moment you step off the plane in Bangkok. You will arrange your own international flight to Thailand, and once you arrive, we take care of everything from there. At the airport, your personal tour guide will be waiting for you outside of Customs with a sign displaying your name. To ensure a smooth pickup, please provide us with your flight details in advance. After meeting your guide, you’ll be escorted to your 4 star hotel in a private transfer. After checking in, the rest of the day is yours to relax—perhaps unwind by the pool, enjoy a traditional Thai massage, or explore the city at your own pace.
Day 2: Private Bangkok Exploration
The next morning, after a leisurely breakfast, your guide meets you in the hotel lobby, ready to take you on a full-day private tour of Bangkok. Since this is a private experience, the itinerary is flexible—you can follow the highlights or customize it to suit your interests. You might begin at the Grand Palace, admiring the shimmering golden details of Thailand’s most sacred landmark, then continue to Wat Pho, home to the impressive Reclining Buddha. A short boat ride across the river brings you to Wat Arun, where the majestic spires stand tall against the skyline. If you’re in the mood for something different, your guide can lead you through bustling markets, hidden alleyways, or even arrange a boat ride along the Chao Phraya River. With the freedom to tailor your experience, the day unfolds just as you like.
Please note: This private tour includes only a vehicle, driver, and professional guide. All other expenses, including entrance fees to sites, meals, and personal purchases, are the responsibility of the guest. Lunch is on your own, and your guide will be happy to recommend the best local restaurants or street food spots based on your preferences.
The evening is yours to explore at your own pace—whether that means discovering Bangkok’s vibrant street food scene, dining by the river, or enjoying a rooftop cocktail with stunning city views.
Day 3: Departure from Bangkok, Arrival in Siem Reap & Sunset Boat Tour
The following day, your adventure continues as you prepare to fly to Siem Reap. We handle all arrangements for your round-trip flights between Bangkok and Siem Reap and your Cambodian visa arrangements. Once your trip is booked, please send us a copy of your passport page via email so we can process it in advance. Depending on your flight time, your guide will arrange a private transfer to the airport.
Upon arrival in Siem Reap, a local representative will greet you with a designated sign, assist with luggage collection, and escort you to the airport exit, where your private tour guide will be waiting with a personalized sign. You will then transfer to the Tara Angkor Hotel (or a similar accommodation) for check-in, a late light lunch, and a short rest.
In the afternoon, your guide will meet you in the hotel lobby, and you will set off for a luxurious sunset boat tour along the Angkor Thom moat. As you glide through the ancient waterways, surrounded by temple ruins and lush jungle, you can relax in a peaceful setting. To enhance the experience, savor a selection of delicious canapés paired with a glass of champagne, making this a truly unforgettable moment.
As evening falls, you will indulge in an authentic Khmer dinner at a renowned local restaurant before returning to your hotel for a restful night, preparing for an exciting exploration of Angkor Wat the following day.
Day 4: Sunrise at Angkor Wat & Temple Exploration & Evening Apsara Dance Show
(Breakfast Box, Lunch & Dinner Included)
Wake up early for an unforgettable experience—witnessing the sunrise over Angkor Wat, one of the world’s most iconic and breathtaking temples. As the first light of day casts a golden glow over the ancient stone carvings, take in the serene and mystical atmosphere, a moment that will stay with you forever. (A breakfast box will be provided during the tour.)
After capturing stunning photos and embracing the temple’s spiritual essence, you will visit the South Gate of Angkor Thom, the grand entrance to the last great capital of the Khmer Empire. Admire the impressive stone-carved faces and towering gate, flanked by rows of statues depicting gods and demons locked in a mythical tug-of-war. Next, explore the iconic Bayon Temple, known for its mesmerizing stone-carved faces and intricate bas-reliefs depicting historical battles, daily life, and legendary tales of the Khmer Empire.
Later, embark on an adventure to the enchanting Ta Prohm Temple, a site made famous by its overgrown tree roots and mysterious ruins. Unlike any other temple in Angkor, Ta Prohm offers a unique, almost cinematic experience, where nature and history intertwine beautifully. It is also the location of many scenes filmed for the blockbuster movie Tomb Raider.
After this captivating exploration, enjoy a delicious lunch at a local restaurant. Following lunch, you will visit the Banteay Srei Temple, famously known as the “Jewel of Khmer Art.” This beautifully preserved pink sandstone temple is celebrated for its intricate and delicate carvings, making it a must-visit gem of the Angkor region. After your visit, return to your hotel to freshen up.
In the evening, enjoy a traditional Apsara Dance Show at a beautiful venue. Savor a delicious dinner while watching this mesmerizing Cambodian cultural performance, offering a memorable finale to a day of exploration and marvel.
Day 5: Siem Reap – Bangkok (Breakfast included)
Enjoy an early breakfast at the hotel before checking out. You will then transfer to the airport for your flight to Bangkok, where you will board the ship. After passing customs, you will collect your luggage and meet your tour guide at the designated area at the exit. Your guide will be holding a personalized sign for easy identification. From there, you will be transferred to the cruise ship.
We hope you leave with beautiful memories and incredible experiences, and we look forward to welcoming you again in the future!
