Hanoi Small Group Tour: Discover the Heart of Vietnam

Embark on a small-group shore excursion to Hanoi, limited to 6–8 guests per vehicle for a personalized experience, beginning with a warm welcome at the cruise port and a scenic drive in a comfortable air-conditioned minivan through Vietnam’s coastal and urban landscapes, followed by visits to Ba Dinh Square, where Vietnam declared independence in 1945, the One Pillar Pagoda, a symbolic Buddhist shrine elevated on a single stone pillar, and the Temple of Literature, Vietnam’s first university founded in 1070 and dedicated to Confucius, with all religious sites requiring modest attire and possible shoe removal, then enjoy an authentic Vietnamese lunch at a local restaurant included in the tour, continue to Hoa Lo Prison, known as the “Hanoi Hilton” and once housing American POWs like Senator John McCain, and explore the Ancient House at 87 Ma May Street, a preserved 19th-century home reflecting traditional Hanoian architecture, before visiting Hoan Kiem Lake and Ngoc Son Temple, a tranquil city-center oasis steeped in legend and accessible via a red footbridge, then experience the thrilling spectacle of Hanoi’s Train Street, where trains pass within inches of homes and cafés, with an optional opportunity to try Hanoi’s famous egg coffee at your own expense, and conclude with free time to explore the 36 historic streets of Hanoi’s Old Quarter, each traditionally named after its trade, offering a final opportunity to absorb the city’s vibrant atmosphere, browse artisan shops, and reflect on the cultural richness of Vietnam’s capital before rejoining your guide for the comfortable return journey to the cruise port.
