Step into the timeless grandeur of Ephesus, one of the most extraordinary ancient cities in the world, where history, architecture, and legend converge.
Founded by the Carians and Lelegs, Ephesus later flourished under Roman rule and early Christianity. Walk along Marble Street, once alive with merchants and philosophers, and admire the majestic Library of Celsus, a tribute to ancient intellect and elegance.
Continue to the Great Theatre, a vast amphitheater that once held over 25,000 spectators. Its acoustics and scale still impress visitors today, and it remains one of the most iconic venues of the ancient world.
Explore the Temple of Hadrian, a fine example of Corinthian architecture, and ascend to the Terrace Houses, built into the slopes of Bulbul Mountain. These elite residences feature mosaics, frescoes, and a clever multi-level design where each roof served as a terrace for the home above.
At the end of the tour, guests may join an optional carpet-weaving demonstration in Kuşadası, located within walking distance of the cruise terminal. Those who prefer to explore the town independently may do so, but all guests must return to the ship on foot, passing through the port’s security checkpoint, as vehicles are not permitted inside the terminal area after tours.
