Leaving the caves behind, the group continued to the National Museum, a gateway to Malaysia’s rich history, culture, and arts. The museum’s Minangkabau-style roof and impressive Italian glass mosaic murals depicted the country’s major historical events, immersing the travelers in the nation’s story.

A quick photo stop at Independence Square was next, where the sprawling green field once hosted the Royal Selangor Club’s sporting events.
