Mycenae & Epidaurus
Travel through the scenic Peloponnese countryside, passing traditional Greek villages en route to two of the region’s most iconic classical sites.
Begin at Epidaurus, the ancient sanctuary of Aesclepius, god of healing. Once famed for its curative spas, the site still houses the Epidaurus Theatre, renowned for its near-perfect acoustics and still used today for performances by world-class artists.
Continue to Mycenae, the legendary citadel of King Agamemnon, where excavations by Heinrich Schliemann in 1874 revealed treasures that stunned the world. Enter through the Lion Gate, explore the Royal Palace, shaft graves, and cyclopean walls, and receive an archaeological briefing at the Treasury of Atreus, also known as the Tomb of Agamemnon.
This tour offers a compelling blend of mythology, architecture, and healing traditions, set against the timeless backdrop of the Argive hills.
