Split Old Town & Diocletian Palace Tour

Explore the timeless beauty of Split, a city shaped by 17 centuries of continuous transformation. At its heart lies the UNESCO-listed Diocletian’s Palace, built at the turn of the 4th century by the Roman Emperor Diocletian. What began as an imperial residence and fortified camp is now a vibrant maze of cobblestone streets and historic architecture.

Begin your walking tour with a visit to the palace cellars, remarkably well preserved and offering insight into the original layout of Roman life. Continue to the Cathedral of St. Duje, built atop an ancient shrine and considered one of the oldest cathedrals in the world. Highlights also include the Temple of Jupiter, the Golden Gate, the Silver Gate, and Peristyle Square, each revealing layers of Split’s rich heritage.

Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant, followed by free time to explore the city center before returning to Vodice.
