Step into the grandeur of ancient Ephesus, one of the most spectacular archaeological sites in the world. Founded by the Carians and Lelegs, and later favored by Antony and Cleopatra, this legendary city offers a vivid window into classical civilization.

Begin your walking tour with the majestic façade of the Celsus Library, restored in the 1970s to its former glory. Continue to the Grand Amphitheatre, which once held over 25,000 spectators and served as a central venue for public gatherings, performances, and political discourse.

Visit the Temple of Hadrian, and drive past the remains of the Temple of Artemis, once counted among the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World.

Then, explore the Terrace Houses, located opposite Hadrian’s Temple. These finely preserved homes belonged to Ephesus’s elite, and their intricate mosaics and frescoes offer a rare glimpse into the private lives of the ancient world’s most influential citizens.

On your return to Çeşme, enjoy a traditional Turkish lunch at a local weaving center. You may choose to watch an optional demonstration of carpet weaving and dyeing, or simply relax in the garden with a beverage before heading back to the port.

• Walking & Terrain: Tour includes approximately two hours of walking at a slow pace, mostly downhill. Terrain includes even and uneven surfaces, cobblestones, inclines, gravel, grass, and many steps. Wear comfortable walking shoes.
• Travel Time: Drive to Ephesus is approximately 1 hour 30 minutes each way, depending on traffic. However, if your cruise ship is docking at the Port of Kuşadası, Ephesus is significantly closer—only a 30-minute drive from the port.
• Shade & Clothing: Shade is limited—wear light, long clothing suitable for sun protection. Bring a hat and sunglasses; wear biodegradable/reef-safe sunscreen.
