Sirince Wine Village & Vineyard Lunch
Discover the charm of rural Turkey with a visit to Sirince, a picturesque Aegean village once home to a thriving Greek community. Known for its vineyards and homemade fruit wines, Sirince offers a relaxed glimpse into traditional village life.
Stroll through cobbled lanes lined with stone houses and sample locally crafted fruit wines. From the upper gate of Ephesus, enjoy a panoramic view of the ancient city and spot the Statue of the Virgin Mary in the distance.
Continue to the Seven Sages Vineyard (Yedibilgeler), a stone-built winery nestled among lavender gardens, vineyards, and a lush green valley. A resident wine expert will guide you through the harvesting, fermentation, and aging process, including a visit to the wine cellar, where French oak barrels infuse the wines with subtle notes of vanilla and honey.
Enjoy a tasting session paired with locally produced Turkish cheeses, followed by a lunch of rich Turkish cuisine served at the winery.
On your return to Izmir, stop for a brief carpet presentation and shopping opportunity, rounding out a day of culture, flavor, and scenic beauty.
